Hello,
you can open playground files with a simple text editor like Notepad or Textedit on Mac OS. They are similar to xml files.
In the aseba package, there should be a playground file calle "HowToBuildaPlayground.playground" which lists all the possible elements and explains in comments how to use them.
Hello.
I use thymio simulator. I can program in VPL but the screen in thymio.playground is black. What can be wrong?

Thank you.
this seems to be a problem either with the qt/opengl libraries or with the graphics card. when you start a simulator, can you still connect to the simulated robot with aseba studio, though you don't see it?
Hello.
When I open Thymio Suite and select either Scratch or Blockly, the robot appears in the simulation but then the programming environment does not appear (white screen). I have to add that when I open Thymio Suite and choose either VPL or Aseba Studio, then simulations and programming environments appear normally.
Thanks.
That is strange, I have never seen this bug. The common point between blockly and scratch is that they run in a browser actually. If you use a real robot instead of a simulated one, does it also appear white?
We are working on this issue. In the meantime, what you can do is
1. connect your robot
2. start Thymio Suite, but don't choose any interface
3. open the Thymio suite installation folder, go to the scratch subfolder, and open "index.html" in your usual browser
this way you should be able to program Thymio
Thank you very musch for your help!
But my concern is to program a simulated Thymio on Scratch.
I tried to have opened thymio.playground or thymio-challenge-pack-web-bridge.playground but i could't connect to Thymio "index.html".
Have you any precise instructions as above?
Anyway thank you!
Ok, I am not sure that i get it so just to understand everything:
-first you wrote that the simulator displays a black screen (with screenshot) but you could select the robot and start VPL
-then you wrote that if you start either scratch or blockly, the robot appears in the simulation (the simulation is not black anymore?), but the scratch or blockly window remain white
-with a real robot, the scratch and blockly windows remain white too
-scratch (without robot) works in your usual browser
-in the end, you opened successfully a playground in the simulator, but it does not connect to scratch
Is that all correct?
I see 2 or 3 different problems:
So my questions are:
Hello!
The simulation window opens, but in Thymio Suite there is no Thymio and the Program with VPL button is greyed out.
