no wifi dongle with "new" usb c for mac osx 10.12 (sierra)

Hi, new mac book pro only offer usb C connections.
Adapters are necessary to use "classic" usb devices, as thymio wifi dongle and cable.
I try 2 adapters usb C -> usb: one moshi and one from an unknown chinese brand
Alas none recognize the wifi dongle.
Nevertheless both recognize the cable.
Do you have the same kind of problem? any solution ?

So it seems to be dependent on the type of adaptor. One user had no problem with the official apple adapter, or with the Dell DA200 adapter, but could not use the dongle with his docking station.
