Difficulties for starting Aseba although it has been downloaded to the computer

I have downloaded the Aseba program and I tried three versions for Apple computer. Installaion seems to run fine but once I have installed it I can`t open it. Ithen says "Das Progamm Aseba wurde unerwartet beendet" (the program Aseba has been terminated unexpectedly).

Can someone help me to get it installed, I had the program already running one year ago.

Hello Anton,

which versions did you try to install? can you tell me the number?
The latest versions have not been compiled and tested for OS 10.5 but only 10.6 and above; however if you wait until monday I will try and compile a version compatible with your computer. Do you have 32 or 64 bit processor?

Hello again,

unfortunately it seems I cannot easily compile for 10.5 anymore. I can only suggest updating your computer to Mac OS 10.6 or higher, or use one of the old version at the bottom of the mac install page. Are those the versions you tried?
I cannot test them unfortunately, but 1.1 at least should still work.

I can not install any version on an old Mac OSX 10.5.8 Intel Mac Book.

The screen appears but all gray.Tested with Wireless and Wired Thymio. Same results.

10.6 and up do not even show up any windows of Aseba.

10.1 the same.

If you want to use Aseba on a 10.5 Mac OS, you need to download an old version (under versions history in the mac os install page) but the last compatible Aseba version is 1.2, so you'll miss a lot of features, and probably you need to downgrade the robot's firmware as well for it to work.
