Hi Micheal

Install version 1.4 Aseba and use the old "Thymio Firmware Upgrader", here is the link for windows. Then it is just a question of timing. You have to press the upgrade button at the right time to be in the right timing with the bootloader. Just try several times and it should work.

With the Aseba Windows version 1.4 it has now worked to play the firmware 10 on the Thymio. Thanks for the support

The update should start immediately and duration should not get more then 1 min.
It is a question of timing when to launch the command line.
In fact your Thymio is in a safe "bootloader" mode where it connect, wait for a bootloader command and reset. It is why the connection is not stable.

Try again several time the command line it should pass.
Another way is to maintain the THymio in reset (the small hole at the left), release and less then 1 sec after lanch the command line.

If I start Aseba Studio, then find under serie: "Thymio II Robot" flashing. Connected, then again not. The Connection is not stable.
I have also tested on a Windows PC.
Hier can you find a Movie…
"osowsky_info/thymio/thymioConnectProblem.mov"
(Replace "_" with a dot)

after point 6 there is a link "If you encounter a problem" it explain how to do when you get problem. In your case the second part has to be followed.
