Hello,
It happened to me also this morning, probably a bug somewhere.
The fact that the upgrade stops at 90% make the robot go in a secure mode where only the bootloader is functional. It is why the connection is not stable, it reboots every 1-2 sec.
Here are the instructions:

Install an old 1.4 versions of Aseba, the 1.5 version try to communicate with the robot but cannot because it is stuck in the bootloader. Here is the link for windows: https://www.thymio.org/local--files/en:wininstall/aseba-bin-1.4.0-git-b2255c6-win32.exe

Then it is just a question of timing. You have to press the upgrade button at the right time to be in the right timing with the bootloader. Just try several time and it should works. You can upgrade your Thymio directly with the firmware 10. Once your robot is well upgraded, install again 1.5 and all should work.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we will fix this bug as soon as possible!

Kind regards

Hello,

I was doing the upgrade to firmware v10, I did everything that the site said: the robot was fully charged, the only programmed open was firmware upgrader, and I just had downloaded the last version of the programs. I started the process, everything was OK until the upgrader reached 90% that it showed me a message saying that a critical error has been presented, I clicked Ok and after that Windows was not capable to establish a continuous USB connection with the robot. I unplugged the robot and try to plugged again and nothing. I have also tried with a different USB cable but nothing. So I decided to try in Ubuntu 15.04, I downloaded the programs and see what happen, and I got the same problem, Ubuntu is not capable to have a stable connection with the robot. Ubuntu and Windows detect the robot but after some seconds it disconnects. When the robot is plugged to the computer a red led near the USB port turns on, and after some time in changes to blue. Additional to this, the robot is unresponsive, I cannot turn it on. There is any solution?
