Hello,

it seems your battery is defective. If your robot was bought less than two years ago the warranty is still valid. You can contact directly the shop where you bought it and ask for repair under warranty.

kind regards

Hi,
I observe the same problem with the new Thymio II which I received recently (TYM B1705). The robot works perfectly as long as it is connected via USB to the computer. It can be programmed and all the sensors and actuators are working properly. However, when disconnected, the robot cannot be switched on. When charging the robot, first the blue and the red LED close to the connector light up. Shortly afterwards, only the blue is light up. The battery cable is correctly connected.

Hello,
from what you describe, it could be that the battery is not connected correctly.
You can check by unscrewing and opening the robot, then lifting the PCB. You will see the battery and battery connector, check if the battery cable is connected. If it is not, you can reconnect it and your robot should work.
If it is connected but not working properly, then you battery is defective, you can contact Generation robots and send your Thymio back, they will fix it.

If my newly received Thymio (TYM D10850, ordered via Generation Robots) is connected to USB, the blue and the red led next to the connector light up. The battery does not charge and the Thymio cannot be switched on, if not connected to USB. It seems to work perfectly, if connected.
